Congratulations to A.J. and Matthew for being our classroom representatives in the 5th grade spelling bee.
Matthew won 1st place and a student from another class came in 2nd place after a very intense competition. The spelling bee lasted over 40 rounds! Matthew will be competing in the Center Cass School District Spelling Bee on Thursday which includes contestants grades 3-8!

This week in Too Good For Drugs Your Child learned different strategies to use when faced with peer pressure. They have a worksheet with different peer pressure situations to practice the strategies.
This is an excellent activity to practice since it could pertain to situations in junior high and high school..
Valentine's Day is approaching. Thanks to Mr. Hoffman who is the Room Parent that is contacting the helpers for our party. I appreciate all the effort that goes into making this fun for the children.
Your child is encouraged to pass out Valentines. Please include all classmates. Candy valentines are permitted. I sent an email regarding this. Please refer to that if you have any questions!
